A GEO Checklist for Making Your Content AI-Friendly

July 1, 2026 · 7 min read · SM Marteq

Most advice about AI visibility stays abstract. This does not. Below is a checklist you can hand to your team today and work through page by page. The goal is simple: give ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini clear, quotable, consistent information so they can recommend you without guessing. None of it is exotic. All of it adds up.

The clarity basics

Start here, because a model that cannot describe you will not name you.

The "quotable answer" test

Models favor content they can lift a clean sentence from. Go through your important pages and check:

Read one of your pages and try to pull a single sentence that explains why someone should pick you. If you cannot, a model cannot either.

Consistency across the web

Your own site is only half the job. The other half is everything else the model reads.

Third party presence

This is where many recommendations are actually won.

Technical readability

None of the above helps if the model cannot reach your content.

Measurement

Finish every pass through this list the same way.

Work down the list in order. The clarity basics come first because they unlock everything else, and measurement comes last because it tells you whether the rest is working. Run the whole thing once a quarter and you will stay ahead of most of your category.

Put the last step into practice now

Run your buyer questions across all three assistants and get a free baseline report.
